If in my earlier posting I discussed about an ending that can be met in crossdressing habit and also the development of this habit. So in this article I want to discuss what we are going to say if someone who does crossdressing ask us an advice about how should someone do about this habit ?

First,  if someone  ( he ) asks us an advice about something usually he wants to get an opinion that can solve his problem or to get a better way about something that he asks. So did with crossdressing habit that he asks us. Here, the problem begins. Problem of what advice  should we give to him. Because there’s more than one alternative advice that we can give him.

The first case, a young crossdresser asks us an advice about crossdressing. He’s a beginner crossdresser. He crossdress only with wearing woman dress. Not using woman shoes, accessories, makeup and wig. What advice should we give to him ? Push and support him to do crossdressing more perfectly ? Suggest him to use woman shoes, accessories, makeup and wig ? Because by that way, he may look so perfectly as a woman or at least more perfect. Moreover, he already crossdressed. Even he’s just a beginner. So, what else ? Already get wet, why don’t  bathe too ? That is what we may suggest if we consider crossdressing as a positive hobby and not a deviant behaviour that needs to be corrected.

But if we consider crossdressing as a deviant behaviour, maybe we may give him different advice. Such as divert your energy into other positive activities and so with your spare time, instead of doing crossdressing. If he is someone who believes, maybe we also remind him to  approach himself to God. This advice looks like more difficult to be said and to be given than the first advice like  at the earlier paragraph. Because he can say that we are hypocrite. Advise the other to decrease or leave this habit, but we ourselves do this habit too. Though we all know that nobody in the world is perfect. In Java, we say  “Gajah diblangkoni. Iso kotbah, orak iso nglakoni”. In English, it means “Elephant is given headcloth. Can preach, but can not do it”.

More difficult case is if he is someone who is an activist of a religion, but he still does crossdressing. And according to him and the religion in  his understanding, crossdressing  does not conflict with his beliefs. But he asks us an advice about his crossdressing habit. What advice that we can give ? Moreover if he is an activist of a religion and if in this case,  we are less obeyed  in  religion than him. This situation is similar to a Javanese proverb that says “kebo nusu gudel”. In English, it means “buffalo breast fed from its child”.

Act Naturally

This video above with the song “Act Naturally” tells us to act naturally and no need rehearsing if we want to be a big star. Although we don’t know if it’s true or just a joke. In reality, we often heard that saying. It’s said born with a talent like that. We know the twin girls Mary and Kate Olsen who began their career when they were kids.

But whether this also applies  in blogging or writing ? I don’t know.  Maybe this case applies in blogging, because blogger can come from various professions.

About the quote above that said the best style is the style you don’t notice. Maybe it means because it’s our nature so we don’t notice it.

Ravi Shankar

Ravi Shankar is a very famous sitar player. One of  his popular song is “I am missing you”.  This song is also sung by The Beatles. Beside that, George Harrison was one of his students who learnt to play sitar from him. Not only that, Ravi Shankar was also well known close to The Beatles. He also ever collaborated with a famous violinist Yehudi Menuhin.

Ravi Shankar had a big contribution in  introducing Indian traditional music to the world especially by playing sitar. His two daughters followed his step becoming musicians. Anoushka and Norah Jones. Anoushka also plays sitar. But Norah Jones is a multi instrumentalist. At least she plays guitar,  piano and keyboard.

Ravi Shankar had a long life. He died in the age of 92 on 11th December 2012 in San Diego because of breathing problem.  So I, maybe  we may say “I am missing you” to him.

The Inner Light

This is another song of The Beatles which sounds like a traditional Indian song. The lyrics is very unique and maybe very spiritual beside ironic. I read about this song in Wikipedia. It said that the lyrics  are a rendering of the 47th chapter ( sometimes titled “Viewing the Distant” in translations ) of the Taoist Tao Te Ching.

I don’t know exactly what does it mean by “Viewing the Distant”. But if it means  “Viewing from the Distance”, I can see the importance of it. Because it can give us an objective and wide view of a situation.

A famous writer Phyllis Theroux ever said an ironic sentence about travelling without phisically moving our body “To send a letter is a good way to go somewhere without moving anything but your heart”.

In comparison with this, in  the bible there’s also a verse which contains an ironic situation like this situation says “believing without seeing”.

In business, believing without seeing is used especially in online transaction. We believe with the quality of what we’re gonna buy without seeing it and touching it physically. It’s contrary with business in old-fashioned way, we must see and maybe touch the good we’re gonna buy before we buy it.

John 20:29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Jesus said it to his disciple, Thomas who was a doubter and not easy to believe. Before that Thomas said that he wouldn’t believe that Jesus had risen from his dead before he saw the mark of the nails in his hands, and put his finger in the mark of the nails and his hand in his stomach.

The Christians say that faith is the proof of what unseen. They believe who dies in Jesus will be risen in Jesus as well.

Paperback Writer

When I finished publishing my 200th posting, I got a random comment from WordPress like this :

“Writing is the only profession where no one considers you ridiculous if you earn no money.”
Jules Renard

Yes, it suits me. I have been blogging for about a year. I plan to make it professional to earn money. But until now I still don’t know how to do it, except I already made an online store with amazon.com. Sometimes I got some offers from certain parties, but I’m not sure with them. Some of them look like spam to me.

But still I’m glad, because I got 38 followers and so many visitors. Two of my postings got reblogged too. So, I like to thank all of you. Enjoy my blog !

Taxman : Gayus Tambunan

Yes, maybe it is the right abbreviation for him. In a country where the taxes are being activated. He gave an opposite example of a good officer. In a country, where there are some mottos like  “wise man obeys tax”, “tax for development”.

It was so corrupt until  the tax department can be imaged  as a center of corruption. The thick accounts of tax officers often published in mass media.

We as citizen are being told to obey and pay taxes, but where the money that we payed ? Whether the money was channeled to the proper place ? We don’t sure about it. If they say it was for development, in fact  the infrastructures in my city are still the same.

The Beatles also ever criticized about the tax. It can be heard  in this song below.

Bahasa Indonesia

The Beatles juga pernah mengkritik tentang pajak. Hal ini dapat didengar dalam lagu di bawah ini.

Let me tell you how it will be
There’s one for you, nineteen for me
‘Cause I’m the taxman, yeah, I’m the taxman

Should five per cent appear too small
Be thankful I don’t take it all
‘Cause I’m the taxman, yeah I’m the taxman

If you drive a car, I’ll tax the street,
If you try to sit, I’ll tax your seat.
If you get too cold I’ll tax the heat,
If you take a walk, I’ll tax your feet.

Don’t ask me what I want it for
If you don’t want to pay some more
‘Cause I’m the taxman, yeah, I’m the taxman

Now my advice for those who die
Declare the pennies on your eyes
‘Cause I’m the taxman, yeah, I’m the taxman
And you’re working for no one but me.

Note : Be thankful, they still don’t tax the air that we breathe.  Bersyukurlah, mereka masih belum memajaki udara yang kita hirup
